Ahhhhhh, the nip in the air and the sound of leaves crunching under your feet can only mean one thing: time to break out the cardigans and leather jackets and nestle up to delicious fall cocktails. Doesn’t the weather say the same to you…?  Well, at least for me, fall means time to have fun and get creative with classic cocktails. There are so many great autumn fruits and spices to play with....
“The revolution will not be televised” Well everyone it officially begins, I would like to make the announcement (drum roll please) that I Raffaello VanCouten, have taken over the new cocktail program for all of the BR Guest restaurants. That means that if you can’t make it my way down to 675 Bar, then feel free to stop by one of the other amazing establishments and ask for one of my new delicious cocktails....
Fellow aficionados and novices alike, have you ever tried to make simple syrup on your own and you just end up with a mess? Well, it’s a lot easier than you think. Here is a small guide that will help you sweeten the deal… so to speak. I love using simple syrup in drinks instead of plain old sugar, because it doesn’t fuss around, it gets right to the point and blends right into your cocktails....
It’s Summer time and you know what that means...It’s time to get stoned; with stone fruit that is, I don’t know what you were thinking about. Yes we have hit one of my favorite seasons in the cocktailing world, SUMMER!  Maybe not officially but it’s hot out there for sure. With all of our delicious options to choose from like plums, peaches, cherries and apricots, the possibilities are endless....
Hello compadres! My name is Raffaello VanCouten, but you can call me Raff. I am the head bartender and resident cocktail guy at 675 Bar. This will be the first of many more postings to come, a sort of guide for the enthusiast or someone looking for a fun drink. I am not a conventional mixer, like anything I believe you should drink what you like....
INGREDIENTS:
1 ounce Sambra Mezcal
1 ounce Siebre Azul
1/2 ounce Agave nectar
1/2 ounce Lime Juice
1/4 ounce Pineapple
dash St. Germain
1/4 barspoon Harissa

INSTRUCTIONS:
Shake all ingredients 20X with ice and serve up

Beggarman Thief

INGREDIENTS:
1 1/2 ounce Sagatiba Cachaca
1/2 ounce Chartreuse
1/2 ounce Cherry Juice
1/2 ounce Lime Juice
1/2 ounce SS
2 dashes Rhubarb Bitters
dash maraschino

INSTRUCTIONS:
Shake all ingredients 20X with ice and strain into ice filled rocks glass
